Welcome to the Alberta Paramedic Association
We are a non-profit organization built by paramedics, for paramedics. Our goal is to unite and empower Paramedic practitioners across Alberta to lead their own profession. We believe in operating an association that works to collaborate the resources of practitioners and stakeholders across Alberta to attain goals that were otherwise out of reach.
The Alberta Paramedic Association is built by practitioner membership and volunteers. We need your help to grow and effect change. We are comprised of a volunteer working base including our board of directors, managers, and committees.

Robyn Shields PCP and full time psychology student is completing her thesis on PTSD, burnout and compassion fatigue in Paramedics. Some of you will recognize Robyn from her 6 year career working the frontlines in Calgary, as a part time instructor with PMA or her position with HART Paramedical. She is looking for participants in her study which has been approved by Mount Royals Human Research ethics board. The survey allows participants to leave at any time having all data removed and is completely anonymous.
Your Association recognizes the importance of evidence base when approaching mental health and lobbying for resources and funding for solutions. Let's take a few moments and support Robyn in her and add your voice to an ongoing issue that is not yet fully understood.
