About North-East EMS
North-East EMS has the largest coverage area in all of Saskatchewan, covering more than 2500 square kms. We are a paramedic service that responds to about 1850 calls annually. We have 2 bases that we work out of, our main base is in Nipawin and we have a second one in Carrot River. Both have lodging for staff that are from out of town, a lounge area, a kitchen and wifi. We have 6 ambulances between the two bases, 4 in Nipawin and two in Carrot River. All of our frontline units are equipped with modern equipment such as Lifepak 15 with endtital C02, 12 lead, NIBP, & SP02, and these units are stocked with all medication or supplies needed for any ALS call.
North-East EMS provides all its staff with their con-ed, CPR recertification, ITLS, PALS/PEPP and the NRP program. We are involved in the community by providing car seat clinics, giving school talks, providing stand by at sporting events, and general public education.

Nipawin is located on the shores of both Tobin and Codette Lakes, Nipawin is a popular destination for recreation, entertainment, or just getting away from the pressures of everyday life. Recognized by Outdoor Canada as "one of the country's top ten places to live and fish”. Nipawin was recognized in 2012 as Western Canada's 3rd greatest fishery by Western Sportsman Magazine, the Nipawin/Tobin Lake area offers an abundance of excellent recreational boating and fishing opportunities that ensure countless opportunities to land a monster Northern Pike or Trophy Walleye. Nipawin in the winter is just as active and popular as it is in the summer. Cross country skiing is a very popular sport as is downhill skiing with ski trails and hills located in the Nipawin Regional Park, and Wapiti Ski Hill is a popular downhill resort located 40 kms to the West. Also snowmobiling is an active winter sport for all ages, with 250 miles of trail are groomed and signed each winter. Special events such as the Peace 100 Snowmobile Rally attract 300+ riders annually.
