Siksika Nation Emergency Services

In 1997, the Siksika Emergency Medical Services was formed as an entity under Siksika Health Services and ran as a Basic Life Support ambulance service. One year later, in the summer of 1998, Siksika EMS hired its first Paramedics and began to deliver Advanced Life Support services to the Siksika Nation.
Siksika EMS, along side Siksika Nation Fire and Rescue is based on the Siksika Nation in the Public Safety Building located at the Junction of Hwy 547 and 901. As well, the EMS and Fire Services, the Public Safety Building also houses the provincial courthouse, and Siksika Protective Services Department.
