The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority EMS Division is looking for ambitious and enthusiastic team members to provide a high-level of patient care in a vast and diverse region of Northeast Alberta.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide ground ambulance services
  • Participate in learning and education opportunities
  • Maintain equipment and vehicle readiness
  • Comply with BRFA’s policies and procedures

 

Certifications, Licenses and/or Designations:

  • Unrestricted registered practitioner in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP) in the Province of Alberta
  • Unrestricted valid Class 4 operator’s license with clean drivers abstract
  • Valid BLS CPR certificate for Health Care Provider

 

Assets

  • Minimum 1-year experience working on ground level ambulance.
  • A.R.E test or equivalent
  • ITLS and PEARS certifications
  • Professional Driver’s Improvement Course

Hours of Work:

 

  • Original assignment in a Regular Shift on a compressed work week consisting of a 28-day rotation; a shift shall consist of 12 hours on a 5 + 4 rotation, guaranteeing two (2) 5-day weekends off per month. This backfill position is for a day/night regular rotation position.
  • This term position, and its length may be subject to change based on circumstance or may be extended to an agreed upon date with a two (2) week notice.

 

Wages: Range from $35.79 to $46.69/hr based on ACP experience.

Range from $28.42 to $35.87/hr based on PCP experience.

Range from $21.12 to $25.70/hr based on EMR experience.

We offer weekend premiums of $3.25/hr.
