Advanced Care Paramedic/EMTP

Reporting to the EMS Manager the Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, provide initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons.

Pay, Incentives and Benefits:

Wages: $39.654 to $48.451/hr

May be eligible for Recruitment Incentives & Relocation Assistance up tp $13,000

Education

• Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)

Licenses

• International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
• Valid Class 4 driver’s license

Other Education and Training

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

Knowledge and Abilities

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Other Information

• Standard Hours
• Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P
• Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
