The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority EMS Division is looking for ambitious and enthusiastic team members to provide a high-level of patient care in a vast and diverse region of Northeast Alberta.

BRFA casual members have the option to choose from 12-hour Regular (Day / Night) or Coreflex shifts, with an extensive fatigue management program for Coreflex rotations. Accommodations are available onsite to members travelling from out of town, at no cost.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide ground ambulance service to the partner municipalities, oilfield, and surrounding areas
  • Transfer patients from Bonnyville Health Centre to tertiary care
  • Maintain inventory and cleanliness of equipment, vehicles, and building
  • Adhere to BRFA Policies and Procedures

Certifications, Licenses and/or Designations:

  • Unrestricted registered practitioner in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP) in the Province of Alberta
  • Unrestricted valid Class 4 operators license with clean drivers abstract
  • Valid BLS CPR certificate for Health Care Provider

Assets

  • Minimum 1-year experience working on a ground level ambulance
  • A.R.E test or equivalent
  • ITLS and PEARS certifications
  • Professional Driver’s Improvement Course

 

Hours of Work:

  • Coreflex shift shall consist of 12 hours at the basic rate of pay plus 12 hours on-call pay
  • Regular shift consists of 12 hours.

Wages: Range from $35.79 to $46.69/hr based on ACP experience.

Range from $28.42 to $35.87/hr based on PCP experience.

Range from $21.12 to $25.70/hr based on EMR experience.

We offer weekend premiums of $3.25/hr.
