Lakeside EMS Inc. is the dedicated ambulance service provider for the O’Chiese and Sunchild First Nations, delivering 24/7 Advanced Life Support (ALS) coverage to these 2 vibrant communities’ northwest of Rocky Mountain House.
We are currently seeking 1 Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP) to join our team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, adaptable, and a strong communicator with sound critical thinking skills. More importantly, we are looking for an individual with a genuine desire to make a difference and to learn by immersing themselves in the unique environment of serving First Nations communities.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements:
- Alberta College of Paramedics Registered ACP with a minimum of one year of EMS experience.
- Ability to manage complex 911 calls effectively in remote locations with extended transport times.
- A genuine desire to make a difference and to learn by immersing yourself in a First Nations community setting.
- Relatively clean driving history. (No more than 2 minor traffic convictions and/or 3 demerits on your driving record).
Duties:
- Provide emergency medical care and transport in accordance with AHSEMS MCPs.
- Perform routine station and ambulance maintenance.
- Maintain all educational/course requirements as needed.
