Job Description: The Emergency Medical Technician-PCP is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, provide initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons. “Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement”
Education
- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)
Licenses
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
- Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
- Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)
- Valid Class 4 driver’s license
Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to work independently
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
